BRAZIL: Flushing water through waterlines reduces the level of microbial contamination in water from dental units, according to recent research1. A team of researchers evaluated the level of bacterial contamination using the Petrifilm? system (3M, USA) in water from old and new dental units (13 and 1 years old respectively) before and after flushing the water through waterlines.
