Parents failing to teach kids about oral health
Parents are being accused of neglecting to educate their children about oral care, after a recent survey in the UK revealed that more than one in five children under the age of 5 are brushing their teeth unsupervised.
More children = less teeth?
Regardless of their socioeconomic status, new research has suggested that women who have more children are more likely to lose their teeth.
Parents lacking in knowledge about oral trauma
According to a recent study, parents and caretakers generally do not know what to do when their child loses a tooth as a result of an injury, and this can have a negative effect on their oral health in the future.

Prioritizing global oral health
Themed 'Dental diversity in the land of tomorrow' the 2007 FDI World Dental Congress was key, not only for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Middle East, but for the world, as thousands of international delegates registered to attend. "We are confident that the overall turnout will likely be one of the largest in FDI history," said Dr Michèle Aerden, President of the FDI, at the official launch of the congress.
